Get ready Mandurah! It’s time to celebrate the festive season.
With Christmas just around the corner, we have created your ultimate guide to the festive season in the Peel.
Check out the list of events below to see how the region is showing its Christmas cheer this year.
Mandurah Christmas Pageant (November 30)
The city’s festive community parade is the signature event on Mandurah’s Christmas calendar.
Bright and colourful floats featuring community groups and businesses will allow residents to experience the wonder of Christmas in their own backyard.
The event is a local tradition that lights up Mandurah’s CBD each year.
This year’s event will commence at 6pm and is presented by ACTON Mandurah.
People are encouraged to hang around after the parade as from 7pm there will be live stage entertainment, interactive nativity scene and workshops.
At 7.30pm, families can enjoy Santa’s Grotto and from 8.30pm fireworks will be on show.
This year the City of Mandurah has teamed up with children’s charity Variety WA to help collect gifts for families doing it tough at this time of year.
If you would like to help out, please bring along a gift for a child under the age of 12 years old to the value of $20 and place it in Santa’s sleigh, which will be located on the eastern foreshore during the Christmas pageant.

Mandjar Markets – Twilight event (November 30)
Before and after the Mandurah Christmas Pageant, several businesses within the Mandjar Markets will be positioned along the eastern foreshore.
From fairy floss to hot spuds, there will be plenty on offer for those looking to make the most out of the evening that is set to kick-off a month-long Christmas celebration.

Christmas Lights Trail (December 1-31)
Those keen to soak up festive decorations while getting some exercise at the same time are urged to embrace the City of Mandurah’s latest event, the Christmas Lights Trail.
Take a stroll along the trail from dusk to late from December 1-31.
People can start from either end of the eastern foreshore to explore what is in store.
A giant star, bauble and inflatable decorations, a snow area and floating Christmas trees are just some of the various elements on offer.
Lastly, keep an eye out for the giant countdown clock, which will display the days to Christmas.

Mandurah Traffic Bridge gets festive (December 1-31)
Mandurah’s Traffic Bridge will be decked out with a Christmas themed lighting display throughout December.
People are encouraged to walk or cycle along the bridge to enjoy the lights.
Lakelands Shopping Centre (December 1)
After a well-received family event in 2017, Lakelands Shopping Centre will host another Christmas celebration.
From From 5-8pm on December 1, the whole community is invited to the Lakelands Town Square to celebrate a Carols by Candlelight evening.
The event is free and boasts plenty of family-friendly fun including live entertainment, choir performances, food trucks, market stalls and Christmas crafts – just to name a few.
Families will also have the chance to the decoration of the Lakelands Christmas Tree, with ornaments donated by the Lattitude Lakelands Hobby Shed.

Mandurah Christmas Fair (December 15)
With food trucks, market stalls, amusement rides a raffle and a visit from Santa, the 2018 Mandurah Christmas Fair promises something for everyone.
From 4-8pm on December 15, locals are encouraged to visit Hall Park along the western foreshore for the celebrations.
Infinity Gymsports will also be there with some students to showcase some of Mandurah’s best gymnastics talent.

Madora Bay Community Christmas Carols (December 8)
The city’s northern suburb of Madora Bay will come alive on December 8, for the community’s annual festive celebration.
The Madora Bay Community Christmas Carols is back bigger and better.
There will be new free rides, food vendors and of course Santa will be coming, with all children set to receive a gift.

Shire of Murray’s annual Christmas Celebration (December 5)
Pinjarra’s Cantwell Park will ring out the joyful sound of carols this December as the Shire of Murray’s annual Christmas Celebration returns.
The popular event will two and a half hours of family fun and entertainment on the banks of the Murray River between 5-7.30pm on December 5.
The evening’s festivities will commence with The Faerie Merry Christmas Show by the Eco Faeries for the celebration’s younger attendees, which will be followed by the crowd favourite carols segment.
Dinner is sorted with a selection of food truck offerings and local artesian goods will be available for purchase from a line-up of boutique market stalls.

Mandurah-Murray Motorcycle Charity Toy Ride (December 8)
Now in its 27th year, the Mandurah-Murray Motorcycle Charity Ride is a much-much loved tradition in the area.
Each year during the festive season volunteers from Mandurah Murray Ulysses Group prepare and distribute hampers to less fortunate children.
In 2017, the event raised a total of $9,000 and distributed 65 food parcels to local families.
The event will commence at Sir Ross McLarty Oval in Pinjarra and end at Halls Park on Mandurah’s western foreshore.
Cost of registration is $5 per person, which includes one free entry into the door prize.
There will be stalls, a sausage sizzle and entertainment available on the day.
Keep your eyes out for the promotional displays of motorcycles at local shopping centres and the Mandjar Markets in the weeks leading up to the ride.

Tiny Shops on Wheels (November 30, December 1 and 8)
In the spirit of supporting local, a collective of Peel Region based artists, makers and creators have banded together to host a unique shopping experience.
Tiny Shops on Wheels will be a market place where people in the region will be able to buy something that is truly unique and is locally handmade.
The event will boast free Christmas inspired children’s activities, music, coffee, workshops and a range of other activities.
You can catch the Tiny Shop on Wheels team at Make Place in Tuckey Street Mandurah from 4-8pm on November 30, from 9.30am to 4pm on December 1 or from 9.30am to 4pm on December 8.

Food Truck Frenzy (December 26)
Hall Park along the western foreshore will be bustling on December 26 when the Mandurah Food Truck Frenzy is back to host a Christmas edition of the popular event.
With loads of parking onsite, plenty of diverse food trucks and a ripper view, organisers promise a great night for all ages.
The event will run between 5-9pm.

Jingle Mingle Markets (December 2)
A place where talented local crafters, artists and producers can showcase and sell their products.
Jingle Mingle Markets will give local shoppers and opportunity to pick up some beautiful gifts for the special people in their lives before Christmas.
The event will be held at Decadent C's chocolate, coffee & cake, located at 25 Husband Road.

Compassionate Friends – Christmas Memorial (December 9)
On December 9, Mandurah family and friends who have lost a loved one will unite to light candles for one hour to honor the memories of their sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and grandchildren who left too soon.
The ceremony is held world-wide through the Compassionate Friends, a support network created for parents whose children have died.
Those interested are urged to arrive at 6.45pm for a 7.15pm start.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a small framed photograph of your loved one and a small plate for a shared supper.

Tiny Treasures Christmas Artists' Sale (Until December 16)
Pottery, prints, recycled arts, photography, ceramics, textiles, jewellery and wood carvings are just some of the tiny treasure on offer at an exclusive sale of local pieces.
Dozens of local artists and retailers have joined forces to present the 2018 Tiny Treasures Art Market.
Hosted by Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah (CASM), the car park markets attracted hundreds of visitors throughout the day.

Mandurah urged to ‘share the dignity’ (Until December 2)
With Christmas quickly approaching, Mandurah Mareena Purslowe Funerals have again put the call out for donations for their It’s in the Bag campaign.
The charity drive that helps women in need and is run by national charity Share the Dignity.
All donations, big or small, can be made at the funeral home between 8.30am-5pm on weekdays until December 2.

City of Mandurah mayor Rhys Williams said the local had been working hard on creating a “fantastic” schedule of community and family friendly events for the month of Christmas.
“We encourage all our residents and businesses to come along, share the festive spirit and help make this year’s celebrations our best ever,” Mr Williams said.
