Christmas has always been a time where people love coming to Mandurah, enjoying our Christmas lights and the abundance of activities that we have going on at this beautiful time of year.
Over the next few years, we want to lift the bar and set the goal of becoming the capital of Christmas in Western Australia.
We still have a way to go to achieve this but we’re putting a few exciting things in place this year.
We’re spreading the festive cheer with more Christmas decorations throughout the city centre and our efforts are being boosted with the support of local businesses who are also helping to decorate the city.
We’ve also been working with the local businesses and community groups to create a calendar of festive, community lead activities to help get people in the festive spirit and to spread Christmas cheer.

We’ve just launched a Christmas Lights Trail which the community is really excited about and it’s just great to see.
Honestly I love seeing everyone getting out and about and enjoying our amazing city.
Christmas in Mandurah wouldn’t be complete without a Canal Christmas Light Cruises, and this year you can even go on a pirate ship.
Celebrations will continue all the way through Christmas until New Year’s Eve.
I hope that by getting our community out and about celebrating the festive season, we provide more opportunity for our local businesses to thrive.
The feedback we’re receiving from the community has been really positive, which shows just how much potential we have in this space.
