After having one of the students at Pinjarra Senior High School diagnosed with a serious medical condition, the student leaders decided they wanted to do something to try and help.
The school's student leaders decided they wanted to participate in Telethon's Pyjama Day which helps fundraise for Western Australian kids.
The fundraising ideas they came up with were to have a gold coin donation for a dress up in PJs, running a bake sale with baked donations from teachers, hosting a pyjama fashion show and holding a sausage sizzle.
The students also decided they would fine any teachers who did not wear their pyjamas $5 each.
At the end of the day, a fantastic sum of $788 was raised through all these efforts.
The students were then invited to the Family Carnival for Telethon to present their donation live on air.
Students presented the donation and discussed some of the school's story and fundraising efforts with the presenter.
