Forrest Highway crash leaves elderly man in hospital

A man, in his 70s, has been taken to hospital with head injuries after a two-car collision on Forrest Highway on Thursday morning.

He was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance to undergo further assessment.

At 11am, Police received a call about an incident in the left, southbound lane of the highway at Pinjarra Road near Ravenswood.

A white Toyota Hilux and white Renault van were seriously damaged in the incident.

The Toyota driver, a man in his 40’s, did not require any medical attention.

Tow trucks were at the scene to remove the damaged cars and clear the area.

The circumstances of the crash are still unknown.

Police will continue to investigate.
