WiFi could soon be available for people travelling on the Mandurah Train Line, according to a recent announcement by WA transport minister Rita Saffioti.

Ms Saffioti revealed two trains operating on the Mandurah and Joondalup lines would be the first in the metropolitan network to see the technology roll-out in late 2018.
Areas where WiFi will be made available will be clearly marked with signage.
Each passenger will be able to use up to 150 megabytes in a 24 hour period.
On Wednesday, the WiFi trial was launched at the Subiaco and Elizabeth Quay train stations, as well as on board two buses predominantly operating on the high-frequency Route 950.
The service will be provided by Optus, with the contract arrangement allowing the trial to proceed with no direct costs to the state government.
“The Transperth PSM shows passengers are already very happy with their services, but this is something the Government was keen to trial to see if we could further improve the passenger experience,” Ms Saffioti said.
Passengers are encouraged to submit feedback about their experience through the Transperth website.
"I would urge anyone who has used the system to contact Transperth with their feedback." She said.
