Mandurah Police have temporarily closed Pinjarra Road, between Rio Grande Avenue and Lakes Road, after a large metal part of a power line fell on Tuesday morning.
Western Power Emergency Response crews have been working to resolved the issue since about 10.30am, when they were called to the scene to de-energised the line.
Traffic had to be diverted in the area causing delays to motorists travelling eastbound along the popular stretch of road.
