About 9.30pm, local officers found a man kneeling in the middle of the east-bound lane, just metres away from a smashed-up blue Holden sedan.

When local officers arrived at the scene, no one was in the car but the man and a woman were close by.
The pair both denied driving the car.
Due to an outstanding warrant for a separate incident, the man was taken into custody.
After she was questioned, the woman was placed in her family’s care.
According to police, both the man an woman appeared drunk and were acting in a disorderly manner.
Police will continue to investigate the incident and question the man in custody, who is also the registered owner of the car.
Police said the pair were at a Coodanup home earlier in the evening, where a man was arrested in relation to an assault.
It’s still unclear how old the duo are and where they’re from.
