A 16-year-old Pinjarra High School student, who has been playing music for less than a year, will be performing at Fairbridge Festival after winning the Quest Youth Songwriting Competition.
Brooke Bugeja entered her first song she had ever written in to the competition, after encouragement from her music teacher.
“I decided one day to write a song called Societies Fault about all the issues that nobody talks about,” she said. “It’s about encouraging people to be independent and make decisions for themselves.”
