A Mandurah man who appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court on December 21 is facing three counts of sexual penetration without consent.
The charges relate to incidents which allegedly took place on May 6 and 7 in Dawesville.
Duty lawyer Marina White said she had taken a legal aid application for the accused just that day and needed time for the application to be processed.
"I will remand for four weeks to January 18 for legal aid to process the application," Magistrate Leanne Atkins said.
Magistrate Atkins said the accused was not to be within a 50m radius of the victim.
"I won't name her, you know her name," she said.
Magistrate Atkinson warned the man he was not to contact or attempt to contact the victim by any means and must not be within 50m of her home or workplace or he may end up in police custody until the matter is heard.
"The nature of these charges will take them to a higher court so you would be in custody for a long time."
The man will appear back in court on January 18.
