Over 70 ladies attended from four different chapters including the Sparkling Ruby's, Dolphinettes, Fabulous Fuchsia Follies, and the Rocky Rubies.
The Red Hat Society is an international social organization that was founded in 1998 in the United States for women aged 50 and beyond.
The Sparkling Rubies, who organised the event, is a Mandurah-based chapter that has been running for over three years.
It was all smiles and laughter at the event with the ladies enjoying drinks and food while playing games.
The day also celebrated members turning 80, known as the "over bloody eighties" within the group.
During the celebrations Sparkling Rubies vice queen Loris Mubrick recited a poem.
"E is energetic and lively as can be, I is innovative and a hive of industry, G is the girl inside and out, and H is always holier than thou," she went on.
"But T is the trouble that they can get in while Y is youthful and ever in sin."
