All possibilities surrounding the disappearance of a four-year-old girl missing from a WA campsite are being considered with nothing ruled in or out, according to Police Commissioner Chris Dawson.
The search for four-year-old Cleo Smith has entered its third day, and family and friends continue to plead for information about her whereabouts.
Cleo was last seen around 1.30am on Saturday, October 16, at the Blowholes campsite on the coast at Macleod, north of Carnarvon.
She was last seen sleeping in a red and black sleeping bag and was wearing a pink and purple one-piece sleep-suit with a blue and yellow pattern.
Cleo is approximately 110cms tall with honey-blonde coloured hair and hazel eyes.
Amid speculation she either wandered away from the campsite or had possibly been abducted, Commissioner Dawson said the environment in the region was very tough and it was a "very unusual situation where we don't where Cleo is".
"Police are not ruling anything in or out. Police are conducting an extensive search of the area," he told reporters on Monday.
"We've brought in forensic trained investigators from our homicide and major crime divisions as well.
"We're keeping all avenues open. We just want any information concerning Cleo."
On Sunday, Cleo's worried mother, Ellie Smith, who is originally from Mandurah, took to social media also pleading for help.
"It's been over 24 hours since I last seen the sparkle in my little girl's eyes! Please help me find her," she posted.
Earlier, Ms Smith posted that she had woken at 6am on Saturday to find her daughter wasn't in their shared tent.
She described Cleo's disappearance as "very, very unusual".
Deputy Premier Roger Cook said Cleo's family was going through "immeasurable pain".
"All Western Australians' hearts go out to them," he said.
Police are searching a number of shacks that are located along the coastline at the campsite, and a large team including detectives from the Homicide Squad as well as Forensics and local detectives are involved in the search.
Police urge anyone who stayed overnight at the Blowholes Campsite on Friday night, October 15, or who were in the vicinity of the campsite or at the campsite itself and did not stay overnight, to contact them on 131 444.
