Want to gain confidence and feel empowered?
Safe Woman, Safe Family are now teaching a range of personal safety strategies, as well as self defence skills to benefit woman in all situations.
The classes start Wednesday, July 21 at Greenfields Community Centre, 2 Waldron Boulevarde.
They will run from 12pm to 2pm every Wednesday in third term. Cost per session is $5.
If you want to stay for a cuppa and a chat with Safe Woman, Safe Family facilitators the centre will be open for a further hour after class.

A few spots are also still available for the next round of the 15 week trauma and recovery program.
The program, sponsored by Alcoa, is designed to help local women who have been impacted by family and domestic violence, emotionally, mentally, physically and/or financially.
This free program starts on July 30 and includes:
- 15 x four hour sessions with lunch, refreshments and resources
- A weekend forest healing retreat
- Additional weekly drop-in sessions for self care
- Methods developed by Heal for Life to enhance trauma recovery
- Referrals and links for education, training, and employment
- Graduation ceremony with presentation of certificate and pendant
