Fourteen-year-old Mikey Green started racing dirt karts when he was ten years old, and according to his mother Emma Green, it was the beginning of an exciting journey.
"We got an Apache go-kart built for Mikey in 2018," Ms Green said.
"That year, he went on to win the Junior Lights Australian National Title that took place in Wagin."
On the morning of July 13, Ms Green woke up to find that the go-kart had been stolen overnight from the family's back shed.
"We were so angry and devastated when we realised that it was gone."
The go-kart had recently received new pods with a yellow, black and orange sticker set on them.

"The go-kart that was stolen is his Apache winning go-kart, so it holds a lot of sentimental value to Mikey.
"Waking my son up to tell him someone had stolen his go-kart was not a nice thing to have to do - he was so upset."
Ms Green has reported the incident to police, who will attend with forensics to further investigate the scene.
"If someone knows where it is - or has any information on its whereabouts, please contact the Mandurah Police," Ms Green said.
