"Competitive challenges", "continuing long-held friendships" and "the delightful setting of Mandurah" are just a few things that Badminton WA president Anthony Mackaiser said that there is to look forward to at their upcoming Country Carnival Badminton Championships.
"Badminton WA is pleased to bring one of our highest quality events to a City with a proven history of providing top level sporting competition."
The event will be held by Badminton WA in association with the Mandurah Mixed Badminton Club at the Halls Head Recreation Centre from June 5-6, and will host players from across the state.
A Badminton WA representative said the organisation appreciates the City of Mandurah's support, and also expects "strong support" from its regional players who will be travelling to and staying in Mandurah - with players from Geraldton, Dower, Kalgoorlie, York and Bunbury expected to venture down to compete.
Mandurah Mayor Rhys Williams said he looks forward to welcoming players and their supporters from across WA to Mandurah.
"It is fantastic that Badminton WA has once again chosen Mandurah to host their Country Carnival Badminton Championships," Mayor Williams said. "I encourage everyone visiting our wonderful City, to enjoy our many eateries and attractions while here."
