On Friday, Mandurah's two Salvos joined forces to open the biggest store in WA.
The shop on 4/3 Shepherd Road has already had huge support from the community with a constant flow of customers coming through the door on opening day.
WA regional manager Sean Burgess said the original two Salvos stores had been servicing the community for a combined 47 years.
"This has been a long time in the works. We have been speaking about opening a bigger store for about three or four years," he said.
"Here we finally are. Putting something like this together shows we are committed to serving the Mandurah community."
Mandurah mayor Rhys Williams attended the opening to thank volunteers for their service.
"When we think about opening this store it's far more than just this space," he said.
"This model serves the community on so many different fronts and creates a sustainable way of doing that.
"Volunteers have the opportunity to contribute and find that sense of belonging that in itself is such an important component of community building."
Mr Williams also made mention of how the Salvation Army supports the Peel community.
"For a lot of people it gives people the dignity to wear something that makes them feel good about themselves or having something in their home that gives them that sense of pride they might've otherwise wouldn't have afforded to do,' he said.
"The reason people come in here goes far beyond a transaction its so much about that sense of pride in themselves in being able to make a purchase."

Salvation Army Corp captain Leah Ellery said the store "will create a community where people feel welcome and come".
"Wherever there is hardship or injustice Salvos will live, love and fight alongside others to transform Australia one life at a time with the love of Jesus," she said.
"Here in the store we'll have a chance to do that. Volunteers will be here to listen to customers whether they're sharing bad or good news."
