The Mandurah Seniors Centre welcomes new-comer Victoria Corcoran to perform at their next concert in May.
Victoria began her love of singing through theatre; performing at her local amateur group at the age of nine.
At age 16 she was requested to perform solo at a school event, where she instantly found a passion for the thrill of entertaining and connecting with people through live performance.
This led to an offer to join a professional party band, taking on the role of lead vocalist.
She has performed all over the north of England.
After five years, Victoria joined two further bands, one as a backing vocalist for a six-piece party/corporate band and the other as lead vocalist for a cover band, playing more contemporary music.
Through both bands Victoria gained experience in the genres of pop, soul, motown, disco, northern soul, rock, indie and dance.
Since moving to Australia, Victoria had the opportunity to perform her favourite genres, jazz, swing and big band.
In 2010, Victoria was asked to perform at the Novotel Langley in Perth, leading to a weekly residency entertaining regular patrons and tourists alike.
She now has a residency with Captain Cook Cruises on the dinner cruises along the Swan River.
She also worked in various duos around the Perth scene with a piano players and guitarists, performing a variety of venues from the intimate cafes and bars to weddings at Caversham House in the Swan.
Come along to the City of Mandurah Seniors Centre, for an enjoyable afternoon.
Show commences at 1.15pm on May 5; phone 9550 3799 for further information; all groups and social clubs welcome.
Wednesday, June 2 features Eddie Storm OAM with his variety show and special guest appearing for Eddie's birthday.
