"You were the full package, smart, funny, athletic, beautiful, and could sing like an angel."
That is how Monica Smirk described her daughter Amelia 'Milli' Lucas, who recently lost her battle with brain cancer at the age of 14.
Mrs Smirk revealed the tragic news in a post to Milli's Facebook page on Tuesday.
"Our hearts are broken," she said.
"Our angel is now flying high and the world will never be the same.
"Your legacy will live forever, we will make sure of that.
"Love you baby girl - forever 14."
It's been blow after blow for the local family, many of whom share the gene for Li-Fraumeni syndrome, a disorder that greatly increases the risk of developing several types of cancer.

The Western Australian community has been left deeply saddened by Milli's passing with more than 1000 tributes and condolences flooding the Facebook post.
A GoFundMe is also still set up and local artist Joanne Colely is running online art classes to help ease the heavy burden now left on Milli's family.
"I'm hoping as a local community we can all step up and make a difference for a family in desperate need of our help," Mrs Colely said.
"I'm running an art class on Thursday January 7 and January 14 between 10am and 11am - it is $25 for the hour and the money goes directly into Milli's account.
"The whole family is suffering at the moment - I would love to see what we can do to help the family."
To join the art class you will need a pencil, eraser, watercolour paper, watercolours, and a black fineline pen.
If people aren't able to join the art class but still want to donate, Mrs Colely said others can donate to '$21 for 2021'.
"People can donate $21 as there New Year's Resolution to help and show kindness to a family," she said.
"There's been lots of $21 but also lots of $221 and this morning I had $500 - it has just been amazing."
