The Mandurah Men's Shed will be getting into the spirit of Christmas as they give out hand-crafted toys to local children on the foreshore this Thursday night, December 10.
Men's Shed members have been hard at work designing and constructing small-wheeled, wooden toys, which they will be handing to children between 6-8.30pm at the rotunda on the western foreshore.
"As the 2020 Children's Festival has been cancelled this is an opportunity to give the kids these toys that we would normally give out at the festival," Mandurah Men's Shed chairman Allen Lewis said.
"We would normally have the kids glue the wheels on, but COVID-19 restrictions dictated that we have as little contact as possible with children.
"These toys are only a small part of the variety that the Men's Shed makes and distributes to community groups and disadvantaged families."
