Halls Head's impressive start to the Peel Cricket Association season continued when they picked up their fourth win in a clash against Mandurah at Meadow Springs on Saturday afternoon.
Jake Wyllie, Josh Rudge and Michael Chappell set up the victory with a trio of impressive batting efforts, and it was Jo Slade sealing the deal with the ball as he hauled in four wickets.
Wyllie (40) and Rudge (49) had the visitors off to a fantastic start as they compiled a 95-run opening partnership after Halls Head opted to bat.
Chappell soon took up the cause following their dismissals, and there was little the Mandurah bowlers could do to break through.
Their guests eventually posted 7/215, and some early success with the ball ensured they would uphold their total.
Lochie Kinna struck twice early on to claim the wickets of Jeremy Leatherbarrow and Jordan Bell, before Slade rampaged through the middle of the order on his way to 4/17 from 10 overs.
Tom Balkwill top-scored for Mandurah with 36, but his side was cleaned up for 136 in the 43rd over as Halls Head cruised to a fourth win.
The victors now sit in fourth, sharing a 4-1-1 record with South Mandurah and White Knights Baldivis.
Meanwhile Singleton moved into outright top spot thanks to their victory in a top-two clash with the White Knights.
A 68-run spurt from Mitchell Shellam and 51 more from Anthony Burt buoyed the Irwinians to a hearty 7/263 from their overs, a total they would comfortably defend thanks to some outstanding bowling from Craig Moore and Tim Hutchison.
The duo combined to take eight wickets between them at a cost of just 22 runs, with Moore snaring 4/10 from his 10 overs and Hutchison 4/12 from 5.5.
Together they kept Baldivis to 145 runs, ensuring their squad remained atop the table.
Their victory also saw South Mandurah move into second, with Matt Hill boosting the Falcons to a win over Pinjarra.
Hill turned in the bowling performance of the season claiming 7/29 from 10 overs, dismantling Pinjarra's attack as they fell well shy of the required 199.
Jack Sears led the way with the bat for South Mandurah, posting 68 runs.
Meanwhile Waroona skipper Ben Wright continued an outstanding run of form with the bat, piling up an unbeaten 69 to see his side back in the winners column.
Secret Harbour set Waroona 187 for the win thanks to Ash North's 74-run effort, but Wright teamed up with Nic Rep (59) to sure up a win.
Warnbro rounded out the weekend action with an emphatic win over Shoalwater Bay.
Kyle Kjellgren tore through the Seals' order with a six-wicket haul, before Charl Nieuwenhuis (43) and Sam Liersch (55) put the game to bed before their side's 30th over.
A showdown between Warnbro and South Mandurah highlights this coming weekend's games.
