Perth police have charged a 19-year-old North Dandalup man following their investigation into an incident in Perth early Saturday, November 14.
Police will allege that the man was involved in an altercation with a group of people near traffic lights at the intersection of Barrack Street and Wellington Street at about midnight.
A short time later the man was allegedly involved in an altercation with a 53-year-old man in a loading bay near the intersection of Wellington Street and Barrack Street, Perth. During the altercation the victim was allegedly struck, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head.
St John Ambulance conveyed the man to Royal Perth Hospital where he was treated for serious head and facial injuries.
A 19-year-old man from North Dandalup was charged with Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm, Give False Details to Police, and Disorderly Behaviour in a Public Place.
He next appears in the Perth Magistrates Court on January 12.
