An Adelaide man has been charged over shining a laser pointer at a police helicopter.
The chopper was flying over suburban Woodcroft on Friday night last week when the laser beam was pointed at it on a number of occasions.
Officers on board were able to determine the origin of the beam and directed ground patrols to the address.
A 48-year-old man was allegedly found with the laser pointer in his hands.
He was charged with prejudicing the safe operation of an aircraft, acts likely to cause harm and possessing a prohibited weapon.
The man was bailed to appear in Christies Beach Magistrates Court in December.
