Update:
Due to the weather the community walk component of Monday's NAIDOC Week celebrations has been cancelled.
The celebrations on Monday will still be going ahead from 4pm inside the MPAC foyer.
The foyer will be open from 4-5pm with food and coffee/tea, then the formalities will start at 5pm at the Boardwalk Foyer.
The Mandjar Dance Off will take place in the Boardwalk theatre to round off the event.
What's on:
Mandurah will be celebrating NAIDOC Week 2020 with a series of community events and ways to get involved throughout the week.
The City of Mandurah is supporting the Bindjareb NAIDOC committee to bring its annual NAIDOC celebrations for the community to enjoy, and recognising the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The Mandurah Bridge will be lit up in red, yellow and black during NAIDOC Week.

Family Sports Day at Lakelands Sports Facility - Sunday, November 8, 10am-7pm
This family fun event includes the Gnoonie Youth Football Cup and Gnaala Karla Booja Netball Carnival mixed teams.
There will be activities for the whole family, a free community barbecue, a bouncy castle and DJ.
NAIDOC community celebration at Eastern Foreshore and Mandjar Square - Monday, November 9, from 4pm
Formalities will start at 5pm at the Boardwalk Foyer with a flag raising ceremony, speeches, food and children's activities.
At 6.30pm the first Mandjar Dance Off will kick off with local dance groups competing for a cash prize.
This event is hosted by the Bindjareb NAIDOC community and City of Mandurah.
NAIDOC celebrations at Billy Dower Youth Centre - Thursday, November 12, 3-7pm
Celebrate NAIDOC Week and fabulous Noongar culture with an afternoon of tasty bush tucker, Aboriginal art with special guest local artists, and a basketball competition with prizes up for grabs.
