With taxi operators suffering years of losses brought on by ride-sharing businesses, Mandurah residents experiencing long wait times has been growing exponentially.
To combat this issue Mandurah Taxis has partnered with 13cabs to deliver a better resourced and wider-reaching service to the community.
The new partnership will see Mandurah Taxi's 38 vehicles enhanced with distinctive 13cabs branding and supported with greater levels of service including access to the 13cabs booking app.
Mandurah Taxis business manager Julie Murray said the partnership will provide a better service to the Mandurah community.
"Mandurah is experiencing unprecedented growth and the need for more transport options is well and truly here," she said.
"We're excited to be partnering with 13cabs because it means we'll be able to better service the community and help get locals to wherever they need to go in town."
Despite receiving support from a national taxi service, Mrs Murray said locals can be assured the business will remain dedicated to locals.
"By tapping into the incredible resources of a national company, we're able to give people more convenient ways to book while retaining our existing workforce of local drivers who know the town like the back of their hand," she said.
"It's a win-win for the community and the economy here in Mandurah."
