Mandurah's property market has weathered the COVID-19 storm, with affordable homes seeing an increase in sales in July.
Falcon's jump in sales was the most dramatic as the suburb had the fifth largest spike in Western Australia.
During July, Falcon had a 29 per cent increase in sales activity with most houses selling around the $340,000 mark.
According to a REIWA spokesperson, the spike in sales was a positive sign for the real estate market.
"It is pleasing to see the increase in sales activity as it shows that the established real estate market is still performing quite well despite the significant increase we have seen in land sales since the government grants were announced at the start of June," the spokesperson said.
"In addition, the increase in activity at lower price points, demonstrates more activity by first home buyers, due to there being no stamp duty payable on the purchase of an established home under $430,000."
Suburbs close to the Peel region also saw a spike with Baldivis' sales increasing by 26 per cent with a median price of $366,250.
More to come.
