A Singleton man has been charged after allegedly stabbing another man in the chest and assaulting a woman with a knife.
Perth Detectives have charged the 35-year-old man following the incident in Perth yesterday afternoon, July 27.
It will be alleged that just before 2pm the man confronted a 25-year-old woman known to him at Weld Park, off Beaufort Street.
"He is believed to have assaulted the woman causing her to receive facial bruising and swelling," a police spokesperson said.
At this time a 46-year-old man who is known to the woman approached.
The Singleton man allegedly stabbed the man to the chest with a knife before running from the area along Parry Street.
"The victims followed the accused along Parry Street towards Stirling Street where they confronted the man.
"He struck the woman to the right forearm with the knife causing a laceration that required medical attention."
The 35-year-old man from Singleton has been charged with:
- 2 counts of Unlawful Wounding
- 1 count of Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm
He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, July 28.
