The Peel Lightning will be eager to string together consecutive wins when they square off against the South West Jets this weekend.
Coming off their first ever West Australian Netball League win, the competition's newest club is keen to keep that momentum rolling in round three.
Peel was fantastic in the final quarter of their match against Southside Demons last week, overcoming a nine-goal deficit to record a win.
Fast finishes appear to be a key characteristic for the Lightning, with their win over the Demons following a strong final-quarter outing against a powerful East Fremantle Sharks outfit the week prior.
Head coach Naomi Pannell praised the resiliency of her side.
"These girls all have a never-give-up attitude and they all hate losing," she said.
"We were a bit flat in the third quarter last week, and to see them respond in the fourth and never give in was really encouraging.
"When you've got that attitude you will be in every single game."
The Lightning will look to bring that resiliency again this week, as they take on a Jets side hungry for their first victory.
The South West have opened the season 0-2, but Pannell said it would be folly to underestimate them.
"They've got a couple of weapons in attack, so our defence is going to need to be on their toes," she said.
"They're also pretty young and you know they will be desperate to get their first win."
Pannell said a second straight win would do wonders for the Lightning's confidence.
"It would be huge," she said.
"To start the season with two wins from our first three games, that would be amazing for our club."
The Lightning take on the Jets at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre on Sunday, with the opens game kicking off at 2.45pm.
The under 20s will play at 1pm.
