Richard Joseph Doyle has pleaded not guilty to historical child sex abuse charges he allegedly committed while serving as a Catholic priest in Western Australia.
The 84-year-old has denied repeatedly sexually abusing a young girl when he was a Catholic priest in Western Australia dating back about four decades.
Doyle faced Perth Magistrates Court on Monday where he pleaded not guilty to six counts of indecent treatment of a child.
He was released on $5000 bail until his next court appearance on September 21.
Police say their investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers.

A Mandurah man has been charged with historic child sex offences following an investigation by the Child Abuse Squad.
It is alleged the 84-year-old man indecently assaulted a girl aged between six and seven while he was a Catholic priest providing pastoral care, between the years of 1979 and 1982.
He has been charged with six counts of indecent treatment of a child under 14 years, and is due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on Monday, July 13.
