High school students from Mandurah Baptist College tested their skills last week with the AFL Longest Kick Competition.
Peel Thunder marketing and sponsorship manager Paula Barnden led the event on Friday, June 19 alongside special guest and former leading goal kicker of the Rockingham league, Nathan Anderson.
Blake Hitchcock took out the title of longest kick with a total distance of 52 metres.
Another 25 students between years 7 and 11 also kicked between 25 and 51 metres.
A spokeswoman from the school thanked Peel Thunder for sponsoring the event.
"The students had a wonderful time," she said.
