A man found his way back to shore after being washed overboard during the stormy weather in Dawesville on Monday.
The WA Police air wing was dispatched as part of the search for the man, but a Police Media spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday he eventually found his own way to shore.
"It was a self-rescue situation," the spokesperson said.
"Fortunately he was able to get back to shore."
It is understood police received the call about 1.50pm after a houseboat was located with no one on board.
