A childcare centre in Mandurah has responded to community concerns after confirmation that a staff member tested positive to COVID-19 while overseas.
"A team member at Great Beginnings Halls Head has recently returned from overseas travel and has been in mandatory isolation since their arrival," the centre said in a statement.
"While in isolation, the team member was tested and confirmed to have novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
"The team member has not been in the centre since their return to Australia, and has not been in contact with anyone attending the centre or their families."
It is the first case confirmed to be a Mandurah resident.
"We have sought and followed the advice of the WA health department," the statement read.
