Students in the Peel region will benefit from additional staff at a number of local schools after the state government announced a regional school staff boost.
Since 2018, funding has been provided for an additional 300 full-time equivalent education assistants (EAs) to free up time for teachers to focus on teaching and provide extra learning support for literacy and numeracy learning.
Almost 50 per cent of those additional education assistants are based in regional Western Australia.
Local Peel schools to benefit from the additional EAs include Carcoola, Dwellingup, Pinjarra and Yarloop Primary Schools as well as Waroona District High School.
Murray-Wellington MP Robyn Clarke said WA kids deserved a top quality learning experience, regardless of whether they lived in the city or in the regions.
"A world class education requires world class staff," she said.

"For kids to get the most out of their time at school, they need strong support in the classroom. That's why we're funding more EAs at public schools throughout WA.
"We're making sure that kids are getting the support they need."
The state government has also provided funding for Independent Learning Coordinators in Carcoola, Dwellingup, Pinjarra and Yarloop Primary Schools and Waroona District High School to assist students undertaking courses through the School of Isolated and Distance Education.
