EARLIER:
Mandurah Police are on the hunt for a thief who made off with another man's gopher at the eastern foreshore on Tuesday afternoon.
Between 5.10pm and 5.40pm, a woman took her brother, who requires a gopher due to a medical condition, to the foreshore.
The gopher was parked outside the visitor centre while the victims were using the restroom.
A man riding a skateboard then approached the area and put his board in the gopher before stealing and driving away in it.
The gopher also contained the owner's mobile phone and other personal items.
The gopher but not the personal items were located by police parked in the carport of a block of units on Rockford Street in Mandurah and returned to the owner.
Police wish to speak to the man pictured who they believe can assist them with their investigation, and are urging him to come forward.
Anyone who can identify the man or who has information relating to this incident, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au
