There are many experienced and polished performers based in WA who, over decades, have provided their music and talents to the state's audiences - many of them with national and international experience.
The Mandurah Seniors and Community Centre staff recognise our WA entertainers and support them. The first concert for 2020 will be on February 5 with the remarkable Anne Bavin's show, Sax and the Single Girl.
Based in Perth, Bavin currently entertains across Australia covering festivals and other varied events. Her first stint with a band was in 1989, when she decided to become serious about her music and realised she would have to work hard to become the master of her craft.
Starting her solo musical career as Sax and the Single Girl in mid-1993, she worked largely in country WA until 1997 when she began regular tours of the Northern Territory and Queensland.
In 1997, Anne released her first CD simply tilted Sax and the Single Girl. Since then she has recorded nine CD's and continues to tour Australia. In her 500 plus song repertoire and with a blend of tenor sax, alto sax and vocals, Anne performs a huge variety of musical styles.
Dust off your dancing shoes and join Sax and the Single Girl with numbers such as In The Mood, Hello Dolly and many more.
The concert will be held on February 5 from 1.30-2.45pm with free tea and coffee. All groups are welcome.
