The biggest decision you face as you begin 2020 is whether you want this year to be like the last or whether you are ready for something new.
I believe 2020 could be your best year yet - it could be the launching point for the next level of health and growth that you've been hoping for.
It could also be just another ordinary year when you drift along and don't take the next step forward but I believe the choice is yours.
Make 2020 different.
I don't know what situation you're in but I know that you need to aim for the impossible - you need to set big, hairy, audacious goals.
A big hairy audacious goal, or BHAG, is a clear and compelling target to strive for. It is meant to excite and energise you in a way that New Year's resolutions often fail to.
The term was coined in Jim Collins' and Jerry Porras' book Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies.
To determine if your goal is truly big, hairy and audacious, ask questions like if it stimulates forward progress?
Does it create momentum for your life?
Does it get you going?
Are you passionate about it?
Do you find it stimulating, energising, adventurous?
Are you willing to throw your creative talents and energy into it?

I have been a minister for over 12 years now and I've pursued many big, hairy, audacious goals over the years.
As I've pursued God's goals for our church, he has opened doors that no one on earth could close.
This year one of our big hairy audacious goals that we are excited about is launching MO55: Mandurah Over 55's.
MO55 is a multi-faceted ministry that aims to meet the social, spiritual, physical and emotional needs of community members over 55.
I want to push you to set audacious goals for 2020. Opposition will come. That's guaranteed.
I promise you that whatever your big, hairy, audacious goal, you won't reach it without opposition.
Wherever you get opposition, you will find an opportunity. You must learn to live with both opportunity and opposition in your life.
I believe that 2020 can be your year. What big goal will you aim for?
