The Lions Club of Mandurah and Fleet Cycles teamed up to make this past Christmas a little brighter for some local children in need, donating 11 bikes and helmets to Wanslea Foster Care Centre.
The club approached Fleet Cycles prior to Christmas to inquire about a single bike, but were stunned when store owners Mick and Jo Boulton offered them 11 at a significantly reduced rate.
Bikes were assembled on Friday, December 20 when a further donation of 11 helmets was made to go with them, thanks to the generosity of the Fleet Trail Angels group.
The aim of the bikes is to bring a little more joy to children in need of it over the holiday period.
