Visit Mandurah will focus their attention on two key projects in an effort to improve the experience of visitors after receiving a Regional Economic Development (RED) grant.
The tourist organisation is one of seven groups from around the Peel region to share in more than $600,000 of the state government funding.
Visit Mandurah has been allocated $139,100, which will be matched by the City of Mandurah, for a touchscreen and to develop a walking tour.
Visit Mandurah chair Pat Strahan said the team were excited to see the finished product.
"We will create a digital tourism hub with interactive touchscreen visitor centre kiosks installed throughout the Mandurah tourism precinct to help visitors discover more about our city," she said.
"The grant will also be used to develop a walking tour and Visit Mandurah ambassador program, both of which will tell the stories of the people, places and produce across the region".
Mandurah mayor Rhys Williams said the projects would be a great addition to Mandurah's tourism precinct.
"A lot is happening in tourism in Mandurah to draw not only West Australian visitors to our beautiful city, but also national and international visitors," he said.
"I am proud of the work Visit Mandurah is doing with the City and our local tourism operators to not only ensure people come to our City but that they stay a few nights and leave already thinking about their return trip."
The state government's RED grants program funds projects that will drive jobs and economic development in regional communities.
The funding for the new projects comes after a recent revamp of the Mandurah Visitor Centre as well as new branding for Visit Mandurah and a summer marketing campaign.
