The spirit of giving seems to be well and truly alive in Mandurah with the city being named the fourth-most generous town in Australia, according to GoFundMe.
The crowdfunding website released its 2019 Year in Giving report earlier this week, unveiling the areas around the country that dig deepest into their pockets to help out their fellow residents.
Mandurah ended the year in fourth based on the number donations made per capita in a single area, with only Wagga Wagga, Mackay and Launceston edging out our coastal town.
Behind the Peel region city fell Bundaberg, Ballarat, Cairns and Townsville, with Hobart and Bendigo rounding out the top 10.
The report also showcased the year's most significant fundraisers nationwide, as Australia finished third on the global scale.
One of the more heartwarming stories highlighted in the report was the push by Australians to save koalas devastated by recent bushfires, with that particular fundraiser collecting $1.9 million to top the charts across the country.
It was far and above 2019's biggest effort on GoFundMe, with a drive for Luke Toki, Australia's True Survivor coming in at number two more than $1.4 million behind the koala fundraiser.
Over 700 GoFundMe pages were created, raising over $3.4M, in a short three week timeframe in November to help victims of the New South Wales and Queensland bushfires.
More than 650 pages were also launched to help those affected by drought.
