Students from Coodanup College have donated gift packages to sick children on the peadiatric ward at Peel Health Campus.
The packages, delivered on October 23, included toys, puzzles, colouring books, cards and more.
Students from the year 12 Careers and Enterprise class purchased the goods with funds raised from the sale of homemade products, as part of their business project.
Coondanup College teacher, Michelle Tirant, said the year 12 students set up a small business to help develop their entrepreneurial skills.
"Students formed small groups and produced goods ranging from bread boards, mugs and bath bombs to jewellery," she said.
"One student even compiled a rap CD of his original songs."
Students then sold their products at the local markets and at school before deciding collectively as a group to donate the goods to Peel Health Campus.
Year 10 students also contributed by making colouring books and fundraising.
Year 12 student, Paris Spicer, who produced hydro dip cups for her project, said the hospital was where many of the students were born.
"Not only was it a great opportunity to learn how to become an entrepreneur, it felt really good knowing we were supporting our local hospital," she said.
During their visit, students were also given a tour of the ward and met with nurse director of clinical services, Sue McCarthy, who spoke about possible career pathways and answered any questions.

"It was a great initiative that our hospital was very happy to be part of," he said.
"We were all very impressed when we heard how hard the students had worked on this project, and of course, we were grateful to be the beneficiary."
Coodanup College extended their good wishes to the patients for a speedy recovery.
