A 43-year-old man, who was allegedly assaulted in Mandurah last week, has died in hospital.
The incident occurred on Forward Street about 8.45pm on Thursday, October 17.
It will be alleged Brendan Richard Davidson, 45, assaulted the man, who received first-aid treatment from police.
The victim was rushed to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in a critical condition, but died on October 20.
Mr Davidson, who is allegedly known to the victim, was charged with attempted murder and appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday.
Police confirmed the charge would now be reviewed. The Homicide Squad is carrying out the investigation.
