Young Waroona rev-head Nash Ferraro blasted his way to a win in the WA State Sprint Kart Championships in Esperance last month.
The 11-year-old star was a cut above the rest in the Cadet 12 class, winning his qualifying session and all three of his heats before eventually romping his way to a huge victory in the final to take out the silverware.
Nash qualified on pole with the fastest lap time of 33.081 seconds in his opening test, before coming in first in heats one, two and three on Saturday.
In the 30-lap final Nash led into the first corner and extended his lead each lap, finishing first with a massive 5.6 second advantage over the rest of the field.
The victory ensures the young gun will spend the next 12 months racing with a blue plate, as befits the state champ.
It's a victory that caps off a standout year for Nash, who had already won the South Eastern Zone State Series title after four rounds of competition at Lake King, Esperance, Kalgoorlie and Albany.
He has also picked up podium finishes at King of the Hill in Wundowie and the City of Perth Titles at Tiger Kart Club's Cockburn track.
Nash is also in the top-two point runners for the Western Cup series after a big win at the Mid-West Kart club in Geraldton earlier in the year.
