The Murray District Rangers Soccer Club claimed its first ever Football West title last month, securing the championship crown in the Metropolitan League South Division One competition.
The title came on the back of a 2-1 win over South Perth United in round 22 of the season, landing the Rangers with the silverware despite having a game to spare.
It's the club's first title since it first formed a senior team back in the 2017 season, spanning a three-year stint that has been filled with success.
The Rangers worked their way up from an inaugural season competing in division four, to division two runners up in 2018 and now division one champions this time around.
Senior coach Tom Duxbury was elated for the team.
"We have worked very hard at training and well done to the team for bringing success to the club," he said.
The future looks bright for the club, which currently boasts nine junior teams, two senior men's outfits and hopefully, the re-establishment of their women's squad in 2020.
The senior team will be promoted to the South Metro Premier League for the 2020 season.
