Calling all Michael Jackson, Destiny's Child or Glenn Miller fans!
If you've ever busted a move to Fat Boy Slim or pushed it with Salt-N-Pepa, A Night Out! is the show for you, and for the dancer in all of us.
Headed to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Thursday, October 31, the show will take audiences on a dance time warp and cover all the moves from previous generations right up until now.
Five of Western Australia's most talented dancers will take you on a dance journey about what has been getting us onto the dance floors for the last 100 years - from the Charleston to Hip Hop.
From social dances to the formal court dances of the 15th century and the 'free movement' of solo club dancing, A Night Out! will have audiences up on their feet and doing so much more than just watching.
The performance tracks dance across the ages, to a brilliant soundtrack that goes on a journey through a history of dance styles - waltz, ballet, Tango, tap, jazz, contemporary dance and more.
A show for dance fans as well as the amateur dancing queen in everyone, A Night Out! builds to a compelling social dance, where the audience become the dancers.
The dancers even offer a pre-show workshop to work with anybody who wants to be a part of the action and get their moves right.
Those who would prefer not to get their groove on can enjoy some drinks at the cabaret tables around the dance floor and admire the brilliance of the professional dancers and their cohort of dancing kings and queens.
The show is brought to life by award-winning West Australian WAAPA graduate dancer and choreographer Natalie Allen in collaboration with dancers Kynan Hughes, Rachel Ogle, Alexander Perrozzi and Imanuel Dado.
A Night Out! will take to the stage at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Thursday, October 31 at 7.30pm with the free workshop held from 4-6pm.
