Mandurah detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred at Puma service station in Meadow Springs, which resulted in an employee being assaulted by a customer.
The incident happened at the station on Meadow Springs Road about 11.50pm on August 11.
A police spokesman alleged a male customer entered the service station and selected a number of food items before walking towards the exit.
The store employee attempted to recover the items and a brief physical fight took place where the offender threw several punches towards the employee.
A bystander intervened before the man dropped the items and left the store.
Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.
The man has been described as light skinned, 35-40 years of age, around 175 to 180cm tall, medium build with short dark hair (balding).
He was wearing a light coloured zip-up top and dark long pants.
