A new environmental program aiming to educate local youngsters about the Peel region's natural surrounds will run during the upcoming school holidays.
Mandurah ecotourism business Ways To Nature has teamed up with Dwellingup's Forest Discovery Centre to present Animal Superpowers, a new initiative for children to enhance their connection with nature.
"Animal Superpowers invites you to come on a journey to discover the remarkable abilities our wildlife have to adapt and thrive in their jarrah forest home", Ways To Nature zoologist Sarah Way said.
"From invisibility to telescopic vision, you'll be amazed at our wildlife superheroes."
Ways To Nature are also hosting guided nature walks for children and families through Mandurah's beautiful wetland reserves.
"As a zoologist, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of wildlife and engaging people with our region's biodiversity," Ms Way said.
"A guided nature walk provides the perfect opportunity for children to experience Mandurah's wetland reserves and discover the wildlife that calls them home."
Bookings for both events can be made through Eventbrite. The Animal Superpowers program will run on Thursday, July 11 at the Forest Discovery Centre.
