A group of Mandurah BMX Club riders showed off their skills at the 2019 Australian Championships in Shepparton, Victoria late last month, notching some outstanding results on the track.
Six of Mandurah's finest hit the ground running among thousands of competitors at the event, with Indi Harrison, Amelie Reid, Xavier Bell, Cooper Dunlop, Eli Pantalone and Aaron Jeffery representing the club.
Amelie highlighted the club's performance when she dashed her way to first place in three qualifying races before finishing as the runner up in the under 8 girls final, making her the second best rider in the age bracket for the entire country.
Xavier was able to carry on Mandurah's run of good results into the under 8 boys, where he finished fourth in his quarter finals before ending his run in seventh in the semis.
Cooper's outstanding performance in the 8-10 boys cruiser division saw him finish fourth in the quarter finals, before moving on to nab fifth in the semis, while he also raced to a seventh-placed finish in the semi finals of the under 10 boys.
Eli was brilliant on his way to fifth place in the under 12 boys quarter final, and Aaron did enough to secure eighth place in the under 13 boys semi finals.
Indi was fantastic racing across two separate age groups, competing fiercely in both the under 8 girls and 8-10 girls cruiser.
The future stars have since returned to racing at their local Mandurah BMX Club.
