Star Halls Head midfielder Robert Falkstrom had his outstanding weekend on the field recognised when he was named the West Australian Country Football League's player of the week on Wednesday.
The perennial Lightning gun put in a stellar pair of performances over the weekend, starting with his best afield outing for the WA State Country side against the Perth Football League (PFL) before putting together a solid game for Halls Head in a loss to Centrals just a day after.
Falkstrom was prominent in the State Country squad's 8.8 (56) to 7.5 (47) loss to the PFL, putting in effort after effort on his way to snatching best-on-ground honours for his side.
Following the Friday night clash, he suited up for his local as they hosted a hot-to-trot Centrals outfit at Spartan Stadium, where he helped Halls Head launch several attacks at the lead.
The Blues eventually ran away with the victory, but Falkstrom's individual performance remained strong.
Falkstrom becomes the second Peel Football and Netball League player to win the award this season, following on from Pinjarra's Brett Milward snaring the honour in the early rounds.
Halls Head return to the field this weekend as they hit the road to take on Pinjarra.
