A group of passionate local residents gathered together on Sunday, June 2 to share their ideas and vision for a community garden in Lakelands.
Well-known sustainability gurus Shani Graham and Amy Warne facilitated the workshop, leading the group through a brainstorming session.
This enabled everyone to have a say on the type of community garden they would like to see in the area.
"It was really inspiring to see such a passionate group of locals all coming together to share their ideas and ultimately put their support behind establishing a community garden in Lakelands," working group chairman Michael Gorman said.
The community garden working group will now collate everyone's ideas together as part of the formal business plan before making a submission to the City of Mandurah council.
The fun and interactive workshop was an initiative by the Lakelands community garden working group with sponsorship and support from the City of Mandurah.
