West Australian local government minister and Mandurah MP David Templeman has planned a "private briefing" with his shadow minister Tony Krsticevic once an investigation allegedly into Town Ward counillor Dave Schumacher is concluded.

The decision to hold a meeting was revealed in answers Mr Templeman provided to Mr Krsticevic after the Liberal MP quizzed him nearly two months ago.

On March 13, Mr Krsticevic demanded answers over Cr Schumacher's situation.
In parliamentary questions, he asked Mr Templeman why the councillor had not been liaised with, what policies were in place preventing that communication and why the inquiry has taken so long.
On May 7, Mr Templeman told Mr Krsticevic that the investigation was "ongoing" and responses to his questions "could prejudice the integrity" of the probe.
He did, however, confirm that the investigation had included "liaison with other relevant government agencies" but did not provide which ones.
