A cyclist has been taken to Royal Perth Hospital after a collision at a busy Mandurah intersection on Saturday afternoon.
About 1.45pm, authorities were called to the Mandurah Road and Murdoch Drive intersection after reports were received that a rider had been injured.
It is understood the man collided with the back of a trailer, towed by a couple in a Ford ute.
WA Police spokesman said the rider had sustained head injuries and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
He said the rider had also dislocated his shoulder.
A woman told the Mail they were "too shaken up" to talk about what had happened.
The section of road was brought down to one lane and Mandurah Police were forced to direct traffic in the area.
Police are still investigating what caused the collision.
