Mandurah man appears in court over alleged attempted assault on elderly woman
A Mandurah man has appeared in court after allegedly attempting to assault an elderly women in her Greenfields home on Sunday.
Shannon James Fisher, 30, did not enter pleas in the Perth Magistrate's Court on Monday charged with attempted aggravated sexual penetration without consent and aggravated home burglary.
Police claim Mr Fisher broke into the home of an 81-year-old woman about 2.10am, before attempting to assault the victim.
The elderly woman received scratches and bruising in the struggle.
Mr Fisher is due to reappear in court on May 13.
